A is for Animal: Showcasing a Typeface in an Illustrated Alphabet Book
"A is for anteater" and "z is for zebra," but in James Marsh's A-Z Book of Animal Verse,
every letter of Sanzibar Pro font has an accompanying two-page spread
featuring an animal, image and four-line verse. This 60-page book is

Violating Optical Principles for Typographic Effect
Typography
tends to be a rule-driven pursuit, but most careful typographers are
also keen to figure out when those rules can or even should be violated.
If most good typography
follows the rules of linear and atmospheric perspective, it's worth
asking what happens when you throw those rules out the window. It turns
out that violating rules of perspective can result in both some of the
least and most visually aggressive design work.
The youth-oriented design movements of the hippie '60s and punk '70s,
produced work that, at face value, appear to have little in common
visually but are united by a typographical vocabulary that often
violates perspective rules.

A Chicago Tribune Geek-Out!
This is going to be a crazy quilt of material concerning aspects
of the Chicago Tribune that have injected themselves into J. J.
Sedelmaier's personal and professional life. It was originally going to
be exclusively about the Chicago Tribune Tower Competition and the book
of entries published in 1922, but the more Sedelmaier started writing,
